Legacy Beneath the Sea
Waters rage in purple passion
Moving sands in swirling fashion
Freeing treasures trapped for years
Amidst a culture’s final tears
Lost beneath encroaching waves
There wasn’t much to move or save
Only to retain the thoughts
Of things the elders once had taught
And hope for days when they’d return
And crystal fires again will burn
To teach the children of their fate
Extinguishing our thoughts of hate
To claim the lands free from the water
Which once were those of Neptune’s daughters
Restored for children soon to be
Their legacy beneath the sea
